Pay It Forward brings ALMA scholarship winners back to where their journey began—high school classrooms—to share the honest truth about getting into medicine and building a healthcare career. For many students, seeing someone from their own community who made it is the eye-opening moment that transforms “that’s not for people like me” into “if they did it, so can I.” It’s inspiration backed by real experience, and it motivates students who never saw themselves in medicine to take that first critical step.
